Another one of those up-and-down times. Tim’s latest CT scan showed that his tumor continues to respond to his chemo treatments. This good news was somewhat offset by his latest round of chemo which made him more sick and for most of the time compared with previous cycles.
We’re hoping we can go ahead with our upcoming trip to see Paul’s parents in Milwaukee. It’s been over a year since we’ve seen them, and our doctors have given us the go-ahead to make a short visit. We’re gearing up for long TSA lines and the long plane flight (over 4 hours), with masks and hand sanitizers in hand.
When we return, Paul will meet with his oncologist to review when they plan to harvest his stem cells for a possible future transplant. So far, Paul continues to respond well to his chemo treatments, although it does make him pretty fatigued and he has developed some neuropathy in his hands and feet.
We’ve been doing a fair amount of gardening as our health allows. Our routine seems to be: rest, garden, rest, garden, rest.
Pictured is the Greater Yellow Lady's Slipper (Cypripedium parviflorum var. pubescens) that we often found in the Northern Wisconsin woods.
